Main Recommendation Text:

The Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority to include in the special terms of the aerial work aircraft operator license, if temporary helicopter landing areas are used, the Operator's obligation to place identification marking of cables that are in their vicinity.

RESPONSE to Safety Recommendation:

HCAA replied on 18/10/2018 [document Nr HCAA/D2/E/25775/7969/18.10.2018] that since 21/4/2017, EU regulation 379/2014 is applied which covers the issues of aerial work sector and specifies specific requirements for the operator, the occupants and the means used. In addition HCAA also indicated to the aerial work companies [HCAA/D2/C/23683/7837/03.10.2018] that they are obliged to inform the competent local PPC about the marking of power cables before using a temporary landing field.
